This place has a very nice Italian atmosphere! The staff are super friendly and also speak Italian which is a great boost. The decoration is cozy and the seating was comfortable. We also entertained their good choice of music. The food was very well prepared, delicious and gives the typical Italian tasty experience. We tried the bruscetta, risotto, truffle ravioli and prosciutto pizza. The prices were fair. The experience all in all was perfect, the taste can be improved but I consider it on the excellent spectrum!

I had a great time here! The burrata was way too small and I felt that the mussels needed a sauce to top them off. Mark my words, gnocchi alla nutella was the best dessert I have ever had. The panna cotta was also delicious but the portion size was incredibly tiny. The tiramisu was okay. Zucchini fries, lasagna and baked aubergine were all delicious. I asked for truffles on the bresoala and roasted tomatoes pizza, it also had arugula on top and it was very tasty: thin dough complimented with a variety of ingredients. Portion sizes are a bit of an issue at this restaurant, however you have the option to choose from either the small or big serving. Therefore you have the opportunity to try many different dishes. Very friendly service and a warm, welcoming environment. Would go again for the gnocchi.

One of the best italians I have tasted. It is a good oppurtunity to eat before Phantom of the Opera. You can order half plates before a play. We ate fried zuchini ( a must try), beef tagliata (delicious), penne arabiata (ok), prosciutto pizza (if you like it, it is delicious). You won’t regret it. For the dessert, nutella gnochi is heavenly.

Small Plates. Assaggetti lets you have a very friendly evening. The small plates are perfect for sharing, so get a few between you (probably about 1 starter and 2 small sized mains each) and have a taste of everything. My only moan is that when we went they had run out of bread on the menu (at 8pm) and since most of the dishes have lots of juices that you want to soak up this was a bit frustrating. Yes, they had focaccia, but we just wanted a basket of normal bread. Come on guys – if you run out of bread then just 5 minutes away to Tesco and get some more!

Lots of lovely dishes….. I went with a friend to catch up and we had a great evening. We asked the waitress to select some dishes for us and they picked real treats.Really looking forward to taking a group as the Tapas style of food just adds to the sociability of the experience. All in all – a great new place for a casual dinner with lovely staff and a very enjoyable cocktail menu
