I rarely like indonesian food when I try it in Europe because it does not taste Indonesia, however I would say this place really taste nice. I had perkedel and gado-gado and after being away from Indonesia for 2 years that tasted pretty awesome! Nice that they also had Bintangs on the menu 😉
I am a fan of Nasi Goreng and go to Malay/Indonesian restuarants to have the same. Tried Bali Bali once for this reason but found the Nasi Goreng to be average, nothing exceptional.
Bali Bali is a halal Indonesian restaurant in the heart of London’s theatre land near soho. It’s worth a visit if you want to sample authentic Indonesian food with a large variety of dishes on offer. It’s also received top ratings by Trip adviser which convinced us to visit this place. We opted for the Lumpia which is essential jumbo spring rolls stuffed with chicken, prawns and vegetables. It was a little on the bland side but the accompanied sweet chilli sauce was much needed to give the Lumpia a kick. For mains we opted for Char Kway Teow and Nasi Goreng Special which was essentially noddles with shredded chicken, prawns and vegetables. The mains were average and didn’t offer any unusual or unique flavours. We are not sure what the hype is over this place but perhaps we ordered the wrong dishes.
Amazing Food with equally amazing service. We decided to try this restaurant after feeling slightly homesick for Indonesian cuisine. Not only were the dishes cooked to an extremely high standard, the service was excellent with our food arriving within minutes after we ordered. Everything tasted really delicious. The staff were accommodating to our needs and really efficient considering the restaurant was extremely busy at dinner time! Top recommendations are the ‘ayam goreng kampung’ and the ‘tahu telor’. Extremely delicious.Highly recommend Bali Bali. Will definitely go again. Keep up the great job.
Bali Bali serves real Authe…. Bali Bali serves realAuthentic Indonesian food. We can’t stop going there. Great food, great service and good pricing.
The restaurant feels warm, welcoming with a vibrant feel. The food? Wow. Get the lamb chops to share – too hot for one. The curries are really fresh and I came out of the restaurant with the feeling that my non existent Indonesian friend’s mum had cooked for me. I can’t say anymore to get you to try this place – actually, pretty good price range as well – if you want a cheap one – with good portions.
OMFG what is with the decor? Please simply look past this….eat the food, drink the wine, leave feeling fulfilled and struggle to do ought later as you feel FFAATT!! Gurt lush!
