Wont be going back anytime soon. I know its Covent Garden but very overpriced, for an undercooked pie, I went back and exchanged for another and still just as bad.
After having few bad experiences i was so naive to try more pie places in London. But then i found this Cosy Little Pie Shop in the Heart of Covent Garden Market and loved it! they Serves the Yummiest Pies! Selection of Pies are Vast you can either Choose them on their own or with Mash and Gravy! But guys please consider changing your wooden benches. They are not comfortable at all!
Price for One pie, mash and liquor is 10 pounds.Just too pricey, probably geared for sucker tourists.Charges 1.50 extra for liquor! Recommend going to a more traditional location although you may need to go further afield as Manze Islington is closing late 2017.
Always a great option for lunch eat in or takeaway. The portion size is perfect and the mash smooth and creamy. I always go for the steak and stout pie, which is rich and velvety and generous portion of meat yourfoodhood.com
I went into this restaueant on sat 29.8.15 in Covent Gardenit cost me 26.00 for 2 pies.rosemary potatoes and 2 waters SERIOUSLY Not good value for money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and i was still hungry afterwards. don’t bother go to five guys its better value
Amazing place. Honestly. Fell. In. Love. With it. Small area based in the corner by the Punch & Judy pub and we almost missed it but I looked down and it just caught my eye. Seating area is minimal but the it is so welcoming and the interior with marble worktops; very clean and professional!I had The Whinstone pie (highly recommended) with creamy mash (also highly recommended) baked beans ( another H.R) and you get free red wine with herbs gravy.. Bonus. The steak and kidney in my pie was so delicious, not your tesco frozen pies :/.. I just slumped it all on my plate and just dove in!The other half had chicken & mushroom with the same sides, another high recommendation; we went here originally because we weren’t really hungry but needed something, I’ll tell you now, it is not a small portion and my not hungry girl finished off her plate! HahaPrice wise for me it is not an issue at all about 12 for everything I named plus add your own drink, I think is more than justifiable. Still thinking why am I being difficult and not giving this a rating of 5 which it is?!Will be back again for another pie!
This is a small place which I visited on my last trip to this city and had a wonderful time here. The food was excellent and was cooked to perfection, especially the steak and the kidney pie. The service was pretty quick and efficient. The ambience of the place is quite casual and comfortable.
