We all enjoyed the meal at butifarra. Friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is specialized in Peruvian food. Spicy sea bream was delicious. Butifarra salad was amazing. High quality and fresh ingredients. Good service.
Butifarra is a cozy (small) Peruvian joint located on the outskirts of Soho. This is a prime spot for lunch appropriate food and at good value for the area.Ceviche – The ceviche is well seasoned and the fish of good quality. I found the addition of sweet potatos a bit odd and unnecessary.Butifarra – The namesake of the restaurant is a generous and well made sandwich. Despite it nearly overflowing with contents, the sandwich is able to maintain structural integrity. The bread is soft and light, much like ciabatta. The beef is succulent and cooked to a preferable medium rare. The condiments add complexity while not taking away from the meat.Arepa – Much messier than the sandwich, but also quite tasty. A mountain of meat (this time pork) finds a home atop a well made corn cake. I often find that arepas can easily be dry, or gritty, but this was very well made. instagram.com
