This dark underworld beneith Charing Cross is a step back in time to old London. Litterally sawdust on the floor and drinks in barrels, you won’t find nasty lager here. This is wine bar meets real ale pub with the culanary excellence of a gastro-pub. My favourite is a cheeseboard with a half pint of vintage port in a pewter tankard. Great atmosphere, great food and outstanding bevvies.
