Good food – confusing menu. Me and a friend had a lovely lunch today at Hazuki – the food was fresh and the portions generous – a bit expensive but value for money. The only problem I found was the menu itself – there were simply too many dishes and it was confusing to order. Luckily, they had some set menu options, where they picked the best/most popular options on the menu, so we chose one of them. We order the tempura as started (which came with miso soup as well) – the batter was very good and authentic. As main courses I had Chicken teryaki and my friend had the pork ginger – both very generous portions with salad. My advice to them: make the menu more compact and invest on the set menu options.
Terrible food. Arrogant manager. Bad value for money.I was disappointed with every course and even though I complained, was stuck with a huge bill. What ever happened to the customer always being right?Manger told me to prove that I had eaten tradition Japanese food before…Since when is a deep fried crab stick traditional Japanese?
Good food. Echo-y upstairs. My wife (Japanese) discovered this and we weren’t disappointed. Good quality, nicely presented and reasonably priced. We sat upstairs and discovered that the acoustics meant that the we got every single detail of the conversation from another table (the only other diners at that time) which I could have done without. Ironically, perhaps if it had been a little more busy the sound would have been lost in the background. Still, overall a good experience.
Very disappointed. Sushi was not fresh at all- brown stains on it and it smelled like off fish. No atmosphere or music at all. Waiters more like robots. Not good value for money at all
Enjoyable. A cosy little place, with good sushi/sashimi, nice decor and a broad menu.
I went there with 2 sushi-loving children and we had a really good experience. Diverse menu with many other things than just sushi and super service.
Good food, good value. I have eaten in Hazuki many times, and always found the food very good. The menus are good value, and generous. They open at 12.00 weekdays, and are quite popular with the lunch crowed (so better to be early, or book). Only open for dinner on weekends though.
