Indigo is the absolute best option for the discerning gluten-free eater. We dined here last Thursday to celebrate my partners PhD graduation. His father is gluten intolerant, so we were really struggling to find a restaurant that also fit the occasion. Indigo delivered a truly spectacular menu fit for the celebration. The service was attentive but not overbearing, the food was delicious and the ambience was really beautiful. Indigo overlooks the main hotel bar from an indoor terrace. You have a gorgeous view of the ground floor, and the spectacular flower arrangements.I am not gluten free but I will absolutely be coming back here. Perfect for a date or small group.

One Aldwych. A beautiful hotel with an addition of a great bar. Staff are courteous and polite. Service was fantastic but in a hotel of this callibre I would expect nothing else. Have been here several times, prices are as expected but catching up with an old friend at Christmas it was perfect! Cocktails were delicious.
A Charlie and the Chocolate-inspired afternoon tea which did little to enthrall the imagination. Firstly, the setting lets it down – the restaurant is not themed and is a drab, standard dining room. Secondly the afternoon tea itself fails to draw much inspiration from Charlie’s story. The least they could have done is to have a small chocolate bar with a winning gold wrapper. We were a party of five but were offered a savoury portions for 4 persons only. When we asked for a few extra slices of quiche, it took a good half hour for it to arrive. The sweet aspect faired better, particularly the chocolate financiers and the candy floss. The pastries were miserable and the flat white I ordered took 40 minutes to arrive and was hideous. At close to 40 per person, I had expected more pizzazz, more wonder, more imagination, alas we received poor service, missing portions and saccharine disappointment.
While enjoying a staycation at One Aldwych, my husband and I had dinner at Indigo. A full review of our entire meal and stay at the hotel is on my blog Sunny in London, however, the dinner was spectacular. I had the most perfectly cooked piece of lamb I have ever eaten in my life. Everything was truly 5 star! sunnyinlondon.com
Ate from the pre-theatre fixed menu and was sorely disappointed. Food was very plain indeed and my partner missed dessert as we ran out of time. Service was attentive though and the setting splendid. Would visit again to sample the a la carte menu.
Great Brunch. Very nice brunch… I like a poached egg that doesn’t come soaking in water and placed just so on a circle cut of toast just looks kinda cool. You’ll see carrot juice on the menu but you can get carrot ginger which is a treat and a good hangover cure. Service is excellent.
