Oh boy, were we in for a surprise as we walked and really weren’t expecting what we found inside. This art deco restaurant is just delightful. One must have a look around at all the interesting light fittings. Starting with a glass of bubbles is great…. We decided to share everything so Selezione di Salumi – Italian Cured Meats are great for this with a great selection of bread. We moved on to Filetto di Manzo, Asparagi e Uovo allOcchio di Bue Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Gratinated Asparagus, Truffle Paste and Fried Egg and yum is the only though that comes to mind. The past is not bad at all if you are in the mood for that sort of thing but at this place everything else is worth having.

Massimo is impressive, visually. A very pretty restaurant with an imposing bar, it’s ideal deal-making territory. But for food, it’s a mixed bag. The misto salad is excellent! The eggplant starter is excellent! The wine list is pricy – but not unexpected given the venue. Frankly, the service was spotty and the mains disappointing. At most the restaurant was half full but the wait staff seemed harried. Both main course pastas were over salted. Overall given the expectations and the prices, there are better spots at better values.

Just fabulous … I could eat there everyday. I could live in a little cupboard at the back and pop out the eat the scraps as they too would be divine. A must for all, you just have to visit

Don’t know why this restaurant isn’t more popular or busy! Situated in the glamorous Corinthia hotel by Westminster, the dining room was like massive drawing room. Very spacious, classy and of course slightly posh. The waiters and waitress were extremely friendly and made us feel comfortable. It was another dinner deal I booked with bookatable. 3 course dinner and a glass of fizz. Food was well executed, from pasta to meat. Only complaint was that chicken mainwas slightly cold. Though wouldn’t say it’s the best Italian food I had. It’s nice food but not special Dessert was good, my friend had the mint chocolate cake which was rich but will definitely satisfy chocolate lovers. For people that prefer a fresh end to a meal like me, do go for the semifreddo option. I was impressed. Apart from what was depicted on the menu we were treated with fine dining experiences of free bread, breadsticks, petit fours so that was really nice. Also had a 9 shot each limoncello at the end, which was authentic from Salerno but yep expensive!!!

Nice large room and beautiful hotel but the food doesn’t wow you like the overall setting of the property. We diner there as part of a restaurant safari where you get to try all their restaurants and were not blown away by it, or their British restaurant. foodexpectations.com
