It is great for your Instagram feed but only good when it comes to taste. After standing more that half an hour in the queue, we finally got to the counter where we only had 3 flavours to choose from. I chose the matcha one, with Oreos topping and cotton candy. It is good but not as amazing as it seems! Pictured are the one I mentioned and the salted caramel flavor
As soon as I saw photos of this place, I knew I had to try it! What I didn’t know was how long the queue would be; I had to stand for 30 minutes before I got to the counter. I love the concept, it is something I had never heard of before. It is definitely visually pleasing and Instagram-worthy!But, I wouldn’t say the ice-cream itself was too impressive, it was basic ice-cream with lots of toppings that kept of falling off, which made it difficult to eat. Also, the seating area is quite small and pretty much messy all the time, as there toppings scattered everywhere; on the floor, tables and chairs. Prices depend on the flavours and toppings added. Mine was about 6.All in all, it is an extremely messy experience, but I would definitely recommend trying it once! thatkenyanwanderer.wordpress.com
Dear Diary,When I first saw pictures of the ice-creams at the Milk Train Caf- we were mind blown and this place was first on my London List. Its a very tiny caf and you will always see a long queue outside it. Their concept is amazing and unique. Its soft serve ice-cream with candy floss around it which makes it look like your ice-cream is floating on a cloud. They have a variety of flavors and add-ons and you can also make your own. The only problem comes when youre eating it. Its a super messy affair and we literally had our ice-cream and the toppings falling all over the place. But if you like it messy- this is your place!
One main reason this place is successful is the cotton candy, Instagrammable gimmick. Otherwise, it’s not worth the wait or the exorbitant price tag.
Loved the concept and the sundAe vanilla popcorn caramel I had. It was delicious! The only downside is the queue but it’s also a sign the place is good!
Winter has ended and spring has now come. The queue was quite long we waited for about 20-30 minutes. Both of the ice creams are very soft (love both of them), and eating them together with the cotton candy floss tastes amazing (love the sweet combination). Love the toppings too. And the salted caramel sauce is so good. If you love sweets you’ll love this place. Would come back for sure and try the oreo / cookies & cream.
Milk Train Cafe Now this is a delicious icecream I love it I tried the popcorn and caramel which was absolutely worth the wait Staff are friendly
