Typical american chain.Great steak with sweet fries. Great lasanha. Great ribs. Nice environment. Hollywood style. Well located near Picadilly.
These guys reckon they do the best burger in town, I don’t think they do. The place was packed on a rainy ‘summer’ evening in London, got a table and quickly ordered the cheeseburger, service was really quick and quite friendly but a lil inattentive I guess due to the number of patrons, still I thought they were nice. The burger was ok, patty was a but dry to be honest, it’s done medium well by default but this looked quite well done, the Burger comes sauceless so you have to open it up and put on what u like, I had mayo and mustard. Another minus was the bun was a lil sweet, didn’t like that at all. Fries were ok too. I’ll mention service again, they were nice. Pics coming… volvodriver.com
If you are a tourist, I would strongly recommend, the food is not all that, but the ambiance and the dcor makes up for it !!!But ,I f you have make it so far, why not heading over Soho, my favourite destination in the UK… Enjoy…And as always Flat Eric… les-enfants-terribles.co.uk
You will have heard of this place and rave reviews from some friends. So you already have an inflated expectation and it will poke your food related conscience if you don’t try it. So do. Depending on your tastes and likings, chances are that you will realise that its very ordinary. Mostly overcrowded……but less than great food! I know the two don’t normally go together. But that’s the magic of marketing! Our pizza was a bit doughy and undercooked. Burger was dry. The pasta that someone ordered however was very good. So I cannot possibly rave about the food overall. Especially for the final price (after service charges) that we paid! But if you are after a noisy outing and drinks with friends, this may be a good place. After all this place is about the show and movie themed surroundings and not really about the food. I recommend a one time visit but make sure you are not alone. Bigger the group, the better. Food 3/5, Service 3/5, Price 2.5/5
This place is very overrated. It has a very American feel to it but I feel like it’s a bit overdone. The only good thing about it is the amazing decorations and the chocolate milkshake that I got. The waiters are a bit too nosey and the service is very slow, it’s appalling. And I probably made a very bad decision in ordering a steak too, it was not good at all. I think a burger would’ve been a wiser decision. Overall, I wouldn’t ever recommend this place to anyone because you just won’t enjoy it at all. and there’s a hidden service charge of 12.5%!!!
Natty says its alright. I thought Planet Hollywood was mediocre at best. It’s just another chain restaurant really with a bit of hype thrown in. Service wasn’t great but the food tasted fine.
Great memories of that eve!. Planet holywood has the most amazing atmosphere, i ate from a set menu as i was on a dinner and theatre ticket, the food was nice but i didnt get to see the full menu, however it was definatly the atmos that made the evening there, the whole restrant singing along to mama mia was great.
