This is the starbucks reserve coffee shop. Now this is different from your typical starbucks as this has unique blends along with different coffee types and different brewing techniques. Also orders are taken on tables so there is that also. For hardcore coffee fans this is not to be missed.
Upon arrival you were greeted with barista with menu and guided you to your seat, yes it only happened at Starbucks Reserve. There was an extensive coffee menu from madgascar vanilla beans latte to more exotic coffee using complicated brewing method ie siphon, pour over, chemex, french press, espresso and clover brewed. Instead of using espresso blend (which used on typical Starbucks store). Starbucks Reserve uses single origin espresso which has been roasted in small batches. As we couldn’t get seats by the bar to try their one of complicated brewing method, we opt for flat white, madgascar vanilla beans and coffee frappuccino. The hot drinks came in black matte mug and we were pleased with the drinks we had. The flat white was steamed to warm microfoam stage to create nice latte pattern. As the single origin coffee beans was freshly ground to order, you can definitely taste the difference between the one bought from normal store and Starbucks Reserve. The flat white was good enough for coffee snob.Just when you thought Starbucks Reserve could do better on the cakes and pastries, it was a slight let down the choices were the same as typical Starbucks stores. But it was certainly great to find out Starbucks Reserve finally steps out to provide the artisan coffee! yummyjubbly.com
