Save your money and dont ever visit here.To summarise: – I called, left voicemail messages, emailed and sent Instagram messages over a period of two weeks to book a table for my birthday – no one ever responded to any of the above or even picked up the phone (called in excess of 20 times in morning, afternoon and evening)- I phoned again yesterday and someone finally answered and explained they have no availability on my chosen day. I therefore left my telephone number in the event that any tables become free.- someone finally responded to my email today and offered me 5 different time slots – how if there we none yesterday?- I responded 10 minutes later confirming my chosen time, to which they responded saying this is no longer availableIt is important to note that not once has anybody apologised or even addressed my complaints that no one has answered my calls, voicemails, emails or private messages, and they actually said they were doing me a favour by finding me a table – how so when obviously there would have been plenty of table options (based on the fact that there were 5 this morning) had someone responded to me 2 weeks ago?It is worth mentioning that I visit every year for my birthday – not because the food is particularly good but actually because there is a good atmosphere. However, I dread to think what the in house service is like if this is what you get when trying to book and I certainly wouldnt feel comfortable paying their extortionate service charge. Oh and last year they double charged one of our cards by an extra 200 and we had the same problem trying to contact them then. Truly is pathetic and Im shocked they do any business at all.I will avoid The One Group and stick to D&D in the future as I trust they would not ruin my birthday.
First thing to mention is that if youre looking for a quiet place to sit down and eat this is not the place lol. From the second you enter through the glass doors there is music blasting right into your ears and after you have the full view of the restaurant you see people dancing on their chairs. And yes this behaviour is allowed and acceptable in the restaurantI did enjoy the atmosphere was like a club/ restaurant thats how I can sum it up. Youre free to sing along and dance along to the music as you wait for your food or even after you finish your meal. You dont have a limit for how long youre at your table youre free to enjoy for as long as you like The food was good not great but good. I had a simple Macaroni Cheese and Fries with a small pot of BBQ Sauce. I shared a few other sides like the Creamed Spinach and Truffle Chips. The Fries were nice however I found the cheese on the macaroni a little overpowering. There was not much choice on the drinks menu I found and seeing the bar with the amount of drinks that were behind the counter it was a little weird Service was ok. Although missing our table by about 2 hours we were still seated. The food arrived in good time and was still hot. It was easy paying for the bill and overall a good experience I dont think I will visit here again but it is an experience I will not forget
STK has a major rep for being the place to hang for reality stars and sport types. TOWIE and MIC spring to mind and populate their social media feeds. Even if you are dead against breathing the same air as ‘b-listers’, there are still some powerful reasons to visit. No 1, it is in the ME London Hotel which has a pretty impressive rooftop bar. Funky sounds, great views and a happy crowd settle in for a night of fun. No 2, is the fact that the food is good. On our visit, it was a pre-theatre stop and we did both the bar and restaurant. With the bar, its slick and a nice centre piece to watch dining guests. There are also some good cocktails. I had an old fashioned and Sam Vanilla had a Gin Berry Breeze with gin, lemoncello, lemon juice and blueberry. A nice refreshing mix indeed. Both drinks were good. In the restaurant, the service halted slightly. It took a while to get someones attention. Then it was a little bit scatty, not at all as slick as you would expect after the bar and for the prices. Whe had ordered tap water which never arrived. I am sorry, but we are all entitled to make the decision to not pay for water. We were certainly not cheapskates as my expensive fillet set will vouch for. I went for a la carte with a just an order of steak with peppercorn sauce and a side of lobster mac and cheese. I will say, the food was lush. The meat was melt in your mouth. Sam Vanilla went for the pre-theatre which is a decent price with good dishes on it. As a starter there was cured salmon on seeded levash bread with beetroot. For mains it was Santa Maria tri trip with fries and a stuffed portobello mushroom to boot. As dessert was part of the set menu, it seemed rude not to, so Sam had the salty caramel creme brulee. Of course I had a little dip and it was worth it. I was too full to do too much damage as was Sam. Overall it was a good experience, although the service could be worked on in the restaurant. cookandpour.co.uk
It’s OK but nothing special. The decor is nice but good luck hearing one another. The music is very loud as are other guests. Everyone is super dressed up so be aware of this. It’s an experience I guess but not one I’d do again.
I went to STK on a Saturday evening for my cousins birthday and as you can imagine it was quite busy. Upon arrival we were 15 minutes late, which they overlooked. Love this restaurant. Been a few times for friends birthdays, such a fun night out!Great food and cocktails and then about 11pm the music gets louder and everyone dances on the tables and down the aisle. Really good atmosphere, the cheeseburgers for start are really good and they have really yummy deserts!Also you can go upstairs to Radio Rooftop Bar after.
