45 minutes waiting at a table for someone to take an order. This was 45 minutes with not even a drink watching people get brought in and plates and cutlery dropped. Menu was pies and definitely not worth waiting another moment for. Great location but I am sure there are much better options in the neighbourhood.
My local host has taken me and my colleague to this pub after a sightseeing visit of London. On that day we have visited most iconic places of London by walking almost 13 km. Then after a tiring walk we decided to go to a pub and unwind. We reached the place in the evening by 5.00 pm and by that people started milling and getting jam packed. Finally we settled for a place on first floor where we eat and drink. Typically most British only drink when they go to pub. They offered variety of pub beers. I have settled a red wine. We have ordered Cauliflower pakoda. It was good but of-course less spicy than what we get in India. My host had a chicken pie and my colleague had British classic Fish n Chips. The cod fish is delicately deep fried and it was big portion served along with french fries. I Had butchers chicken. It was baked chicken with pineapple cubes layered over lettuce with dash of Mayo. Finally we had some black coffee. The ambience is superb with magnificent interiors having lot of teak n wood. The staff are very courteous. Overall a very good experience. We would love to visit this place next tome when we are in London
Very surprising place with so many treasures inside. I am your fan! I’ll be back.
