My family and I came here for lunch on Christmas. MY dad and I ordered the Chicken, ham hock and cheese pie. It was SPLENDID!! my mom ordered the fish and chips, whereas my brother ordered the beef burger. According to my mom and brother, the fish and chips were good and the beef patty was a little dry. The environment and decoration inside the pub was good! However, one down side was that it was pretty damn pricey… for every one of the main meals that we’ve ordered could price up to 20 and above. I feel that the pricing could also be due to Christmas.
I don’t know why it’s getting such a low rating!!! It was really great. I had the Sunday special roast lamb and vegetables and it was delish! Fall off the bone! I really liked it. Had a Guinness with my dinner. Service was great. We ate upstairs which was warm and toasty and smelled of delicious food which was a nice escape from the freezing cold and snow! Ate here after seeing Matilda 🙂
