One of my favourite bars in London!Having drinks with a view of the Thames and the London Eye has to be one of the best parts about living in London throw in that your on a boat – amazing experience. If you go during the summer or on a nice autumn day they have seating up on the deck as well as lots of standing room with handy ledges if it busy. Or below deck they have a lovely wee cosy bar with porthole windows with great views. You are not being deceived that the bar below deck is slightly on a slant. It has a great atmosphere and amazing view! I’ve only had food in there a couple of times but I would definitely recommend the nachos. My favourite time to go at night when everything is all light up and very pretty.

A very characteristic place located in Westminster area, right by the London Eye. I liked the ambiance and the service. It is a nice place, if you are a fan of the British Cuisine. I had one of their veggie burger, which was okay and quite tasty. Also, I had a side salad, which was fresh, but not very crispy. Prices are fine, and the view is memorable especially during the evenings. It can become slightly crowded, so you are lucky if you find a spot by the windows.

Iv’e been to this magnificent boat a few times now, but specifically to see the comedy shows in the lower deck (which are fantastic, by the way!) Last week we decided to eat dinner at the Tattershall Castle before the show began just to get the full experience. Now, the TC gets a 3.5 predominantly for ambiance, because how cool is it to eat dinner on a boat, rocked gently by the lapping waves of the Thames, while overlooking the London Eye?? The answer is very! The food was just OK. As a North American, I have very high standards about traditional diner food, especially club sandwiches. Sadly mine just wasn’t that flavourful. It was overstuffed between two VERY toasted pieces of wholegrain bread, which cut the roof of my mouth! My salad dressing was just too tangy and bitter without any redemptive sweetness (all I ask is a hint!)My friend found her halloumi salad similarly too bitter (the cheese was great, though!) My boyfriend was the most satisfied with his meal, a tender pork belly with an amazing jus. I actually used to it for my chips! The drinks are plentiful and inexpensive, so that’s great. We had rum and cokes, gin and tonics, and various ciders. They were out of Pimm’s though, so that was a bit too bad.Overall, I recommend a visit to the TC more for the ambiance and the comedy than the food. It also transforms into a club on the upperdeck in the later hours of the weekend!

Visited Tattershall on our six month anniversary. It was an unplanned visit as we happened to be in South Bank for a friend’s birthday. My husband wanted the evening to be special and remembered the boats lined up by the Thames. It offers the most raw and magnificient view of the banks, the London Eye and the Big Ben. It was dusk when we went there and the evening view is postcard like.Tattershall has two decks for seating. We were at the open deck first, which has seating as well as standing spaces. But as it got chillier, we moved to the lower deck which is enclosed but the glass windows allow you to continue gazing outside. Gets pretty crowded so we were lucky to get window-side seats. currycular.wordpress.com
