Tucked away on Villiers street, I would bit have noticed this adorable cafe had it not been for my colleague needing to use the loo and EAT not having one!We decided to grab a latte and porridge, which was delightful and hearty! The best way to describe this place is ‘cozy’. The decor is quite rustic, with wooden chairs and tables, and exposed light bulbs with a soft glow.Lots of people where there, having coffee over early business meetings. This low key cafe made for a pleasant environment to get down to business!
Villiers Cafe on Villiers street is a small restaurant with a lot of punch. Had a team lunch here and had a roast pork belly with Apple and shallots to start. The pork was tender and had very crispy skin. The apple was cooked and added a nice flavour to the pork. For the main I decided on the Villiers burger with extra bacon and fried egg. This was a beast of a burger and the first bite was a delight. Once the fried egg dripped through the glorious bun and bacon, I was in burger wonderland. Overall, I enjoyed the food on Villiers, but the service was a slight let down. It was very slow and even with a small restaurant of less than 6 tables. I was expecting better in that department. Worthy try for that burger alone!!!
