The most rude and miserable staff and manager. Our last visit was the last. We were given wrong items and short of some items. After a long wait, waiter was rude and simply said: you want to wait or not. When we spoke to the Manager he said. Well it is Sunday we are busy and that is how it is. Never again
Yummy and reasonably priced dim sum. They’re so busy on Saturday and Sunday lunch times though so get there early. I love the steamed spare ribs with black bean and garlic sauce. Their egg tarts are really nice too. operationgoodfood.wordpress.com
Very authentic Chinese. Great place for dim sum. Roast pork is crispy on the skin only if you go in the afternoon hours. Nothing much to criticise on the food but the toilet is very dirty. Lobster was ok but the noodles to go with lobster were bad. Pork in sweet and sour sauce was nice.
This is the place we go to for family outings. The food is delicious and the portions are about double the size you get in swankier establishments ( like the one in Colindale Beaufort Park) – The plate that will be demolished whatever size we order is the roast duck – its is the best and juiciest . Crispy fried squid is crispy and comes piled high, no room for delicately placed masterchef wannabees here. Ho fun has been mentioned before but deserves another mention – best Ive had in London – true.Atmosphere is busy and bustling – full of chinese people – is that a good thing – I dont know – but lots of others as well.Only downside is service which has never been a strongpoint in any chinese restaurant – I always find service inversely proportional to food quality in most Chinese – (re Wong Keis legendary tirade of abuse as you walk in ) – Service here is haphazard – get the old guy and he will remember you , the others may just walk by you smiling having completely forgotten that you ordered 20 minutes ago
We spent Chinese New Year in this place and indulged in their dim sum. Chaotic and exciting, this generous upstanding restaurant pushed the boat out for all their guests. Any child in the restaurant received money in a traditional red envelope from the owner of the entire establishment, and this place is huge. We were there with my Chinese uncle who ordered everything because he is the master of dim sum. From shark to chickens feet every dish was delicious. Their vegetables were tender and crunchy, the kids wouldn’t stop eating. Stacks and stacks of steamers filled with the tastiest and most traditional dumplings you’ll have in London, all arrive at the same time. Green tea being poured from left to right like it’s the mad hatters birthday. A truly homey and traditional experience. Well worth the commute.
