Went to this Resturant with my kids. I ordered Rice plantain and beef for the kids. Generous amount I must say and it tastes okay but extremely oily rice. I ordered The abula special for myself and it was not good at all. I couldn’t eat the food because the Amala was obviously not freshly made. It was hot but it was like Amala already made and put to heat up in the microwave. It was hard Amala,I called the attention of the man who served me but he wasn’t showing any empathy. I ate a few pieces of the shaki, the beef tasted like it was almost burnt and I told the man to take the food that I couldn’t eat it. He charged me full price for the food. Never again for me and this restaurant!

Squires African restaurant was our choice, I wasnt really impressed with the dcor, I think they can do better. I order for one of my best Africa food, Amala with Efo egusi soup (spinach and melon seed) inconjunction with beef meat. Well prepared and seasoned soup, well cooked beef meat. Overall, the meal was delicious and worth the money, only that the dcor is not that attractive. I’lldefinitely visit again
Squires is located very close to Dagenham Heathway station. They serve African cuisines ranging from soup dishes(eforiro ogbono, ayamase, okro ,egusi) to rice dishes(jollof rice and dodo), Yam porridge(asaro) and Ewa aganyin. My favourite of all their meals is jollof rice with beef.The jollof rice is very sumptuous, well seasoned with meat spices and not oily at all. If you ever crave for delicious African food, I would recommend Squirres.Dont expect too much from the decor though, its not exceptional.
