I visited San Giovanni for my birthday lunch with two friends and my toddler. I was appalled by the manner in which I was treated upon enquiring how long our main courses would be (after having waited over one hour). When i suggested to the waiter that we had been waiting quite a while he responded by saying ‘ no you haven’t ‘, I was completely taken aback. He then continued in a extremely defensive (and verging on the aggressive) manner. I can categorically say this spoilt the rest of the meal. I have never experienced anything like it in a restaurant. As for the food, my friends enjoyed their carbonnara, but my pizza was laden with greasy cheese. Will not visit again and wouldn’t recommend.
