Good sized portion but pretty expensive.batter was not cooked fully in places and overdone in otherschips were tasty and not too greasythe curry sauce was as good as the recommendation!wish i’d gone for chips and curry sauce only – i would have left happier and with a much heavier wallet! dromomania.co.uk

Don’t know why this place rates so highly. Fish was decidedly average with soggy batter on the underneath. Chips were OK but mushy peas were an extra and it was pretty expensive overall. Supposed to be one of the top 30 fish and chip restaurants in the UK. I don’t think so.

A very impressive chippy. The staff were absolutely lovely, and the food was equally nice. Light fish, decent chips and good mushy peas. Didn’t get to taste their tartare sauce, so we’ll be heading back there before too long

Well, when we first entered the chippy we was met by unpleasant staff who was were not very helpful and couldn’t even tell me the prices of the items on the menu that I wanted to order. Further more 2 customers walked in approximately five minutes after us and recieved there food before the miserable waiter even took our orders. He was useless, he was unpleasant and not very nice to be around he didnt even offer me my drink with my meal deal. The food was ok but I wouldn’t rate it above a 5 out of 10. When we got the bill we was shocked to find that they tried to charge us for a order of chips that we had not even ordered or been given and I was charged 1.50 just for gravy on my chips which should have been included with my meal deal anyway. All in all a terrible experience with shoddy customer service over priced food and left feeling I had just been arse raped without even a kiss goodbye! I wouldn’t dare return even if I was starving and that was the last food on earth. The staff ensured the destruction of what was originally a good day.

At last, a quality chippy in Didsbury Village. Good food, great value ( especially the Credit Crunch Lunch) and very friendly. Great to sit in or takeaway.
