Dids does or doesn’t. Years ago, The Didsbury was one of the places that I took my mother on Sunday afternoons. Largely so that she could forget about wonderful home-made Sunday lunches we enjoyed before my father died.. In the early 90s, The Didsbury boasted a fabulous carvery, decently cooked vegetables and gravy. The kitchen was overseen by several competent, lovely women.. Nowadays the place has become a ‘gastro-pub’., to all intents and purposes. Nonetheless, my sampling of several dishes in recent years has made me happy! My son and his mates eat there regularly; my last meal , from the Specials Board – Venison Wellington – was superb.
