About
The White Horse is Dover's oldest pub, original building c 1365 and is the Channel Swimmers' pub of choice since 2002. You will see our main bar area walls adorned in signatures of those who have successfully swum the channel. We are essentially a Pub and therefore serve excellent cask ales for which we have been awarded The Cask Marque accreditation for the quality of our ales. We have a great range of draught lager, Guinness and Cider, a splendid selection of fine wines and we stock in excess of 40 gins with always the perfect serve. Home cooked food is served daily between 12pm and 2pm for lunch and 6pm to 8pm for dinner with the exception of Wednesdays when the kitchen is closed; however, on Wednesday we allow folk to bring their own food in and we supply warmed plates, cutlery and condiments. On Sunday we serve a Roast lunch between 12pm and 3pm. Booking a table in our pub is essential as we fill up very quickly and especially on Friday & Saturdays.
