I definitely, definitely recommend this restaurant. So it’s pretty close to Earlsfield station. Just cross the road and it’s pretty much opposite the station exit/entrance. Cross safely though…. even if the food here is delicious and you might be inclined to cross in a rush. Ha ha What a shame I don’t have photos but I will aim to go again for photos… well it’s a great excuse. PS: they do delivery around Wandsworth Town and yes they are on Deliveroo
Amaranth is a back-to-basics Thai restaurant, so whilst you shouldn’t expect many frills, you CAN expect really tasty food and friendly service. All the dishes we ordered were delicious, from hot noodles to mild nutty beef musuman curries. If I had one criticism, it’d be that the menu scale of 1-3 chilli’s for hotness needs an extra chilli as some dishes took us by surprise! Bare in mind that it’s only a small place, so it’s probably worth booking before turning up, and the restaurant doesn’t serve any alcohol, but if you remember this last minute, there’s a well stocked Londis over the road (I speak from experience!) danmorrissey.com
Authentic Thai. I am shocked that another thai restaurant in Southfields has scored more highly than this. If you are looking for deliciously prepared authentic Thai then this the place to go to. It’s all about the food! I assume the 30% of reviewers that did nit like this Thai were let down by the restaurant style or after something inauthentic? Confused!
Amaranth has now opened a Thai Take Away just up the street from the Restaurant- they stock Thai ingredients for your Thai cooking as well, it’s a run by Thai so it’s genuine food you get in there!
Nice Local Thai. Went on a cold Bustling saturday night and had a really nice meal, one great feature of this place is its BYO, with very reasonable corkage.
