Earlier this year, I enjoyed a sunny Sunday brunch here with my healthiest friend. She ordered a herbal tea, of course, and I had a lovely black coffee.The breakfast menu is short and unfussy and both my friend and I opted for a rather generous portion of the scrambled duck eggs with smoked salmon and gluten free toast (the best I’ve ever tasted). The eggs certainly had a richer, more dense taste than your average chicken fare and seemed more filling too.The long, narrow restaurant is decorated in a minimal style with low ceilings and simple furniture: modern, yet cosy.Although we were somewhat overrun with young families and their very noisy children, we spent an enjoyable morning here and I would most certainly go back, if for nothing else than to ask them where they get their gluten free bread from. syruptitiously.com
