Ordered food from here on a cold evening during my recent visit to London. Hadn’t had Indian food for a week so was craving for some nice masala, spicy food. Had chicken achari, raita and naan. Absolute value for money meal and was ok because I was missing Indian food. However if looked at independently the chicken achari seemed to have a complete bottle of achar dunked in which made it too tangy and too oily. Had that been controlled the dish could have been good.
I have always seen this place in passing, but have never been there in person, however, I have ordered delivery from this place – not once but twice. Every time the service, the delivery, the taste has been impeccable. Though the place has Nepali cuisine, which sounds good, we have never ordered it as yet, on both the occasions we have ordered Indian cuisine. Last time we had ordered Chicken Achari, roti, jeera rice and dal tadka, we were told the delivery would take 45 minutes, yet the food was delivered in 30 minutes which was definitely a huge advantage. The food arrived hot and the taste – there was nothing we could find fault with, a very flavorsome chicken, nice rotis and dal tadka but the star was the jeera rice – one of the best jeera rice I have had here in London, but we didn’t want to get carried away (as we have been disappointed by other places on repeat orders or visits). Today we decided to give it another try and ordered a Chicken biryani, a lemon rice and dal makhani, the delivery time mentioned was 40 minutes and the food arrived in 30 minutes. The biryani was good (we have had better though), the lemon rice was also tasty but the dal makhani is not to be missed, lovely flavors, mild and very creamy… absolutely comforting. We have enjoyed the food so much that it has tempted us to go and visit it next time instead of ordering in…. maybe we will give the Nepali cuisine a try if we do visit… will keep you all posted… 🙂
Disappointing. 1) Food took over 70minutes to be delivered2) Incorrect orders – received 2 items which were wrong!3) The curry was runny and liquid, looked as if they made a curry and scooped the oil of another to put into another container
Great food lousy service. Great food but delivery is lousy be prepared for a looong wait. Can take way over a hour bare that in mind before ordering and we live local
A hidden gem, looks nothing from outside but a classy comfy cosy place with great food (try the momo’s!) and friendly service. And the price is ‘very reasonable’. Am goin back soon.
I’ve never visited but it’s always busy. I’ve eaten using their delivery service and it is such cracking food it’s now replaced all other establishments. The driver is always courteous.
A cracking little curry house. Very good value and you certainly won’t go hungry…
