We has breakfast here on the day of departure from our Bungalow andwish we had found it earlier. The breakfast was excellent and the guy behind the counter was so friendly and helpful it was a real pleasure to have a meal here.
The cafe was full on a wet day, but when I asked to share a table, everyone offered a seat at theirs. My food – chickpea fritters and home made salad were made to order. It was delicious, and with cake and coffee under £10.
Just what England is all about, charming people, perfect Earl Grey, perfect cleanliness and to top it all, perfect scone jam and cream.
Ruby’s cafe is very small but they were very accommodating by reserving us a window table for lunch. There was a good selection of food on offer, the place was clean and busy and the food ordered very good. The staff were friendly and helpful.
