Dear all, Yesterday we went to Capital at lunch time . We ordered Lamb Soup ( Yogurtlu Pacha) and Lahmacun each. Lahmacun had a funny smell and not much meat on there and put us off. Lamb soup taste was disgusting, the meat had a funny smell as well and the worse thing of all is I had Sheep tooth in the Soup. I called a waiter over and he said I’m sorry and walked away. And I called the manager over and he said it should of not happened , then walked away. They still charged us full price and we hardly ate anything! Food disgusting , Service very bad, workers are rude! Never going again!!!!
Turkish cuisines always a delight and a warming way to get a few friends together. Capital amongst others are always good with there food and portions. But for me Capital is that extra bit better then others. There platters are huge very tasty. The bread served is grilled to get that smokey taste with some seasonings. Salad served is the most juiciest ever i have come across in a turkish cuisine. This place is a chain of 3. Its a must try however Edmonton branch is the one for me. Awesome food and service.
Been here few times but every visit got worse and worse. The starters are good and the breads are not too bad but they dont have a standard. The main food portions are very big but when it comes to taste there are much better tastes within the area. My last visit was my last one as they mixed up the order and the food wasnt cooked properly.
If I review a large Turkish kebab house then I’m naturally going to compare it to the many restaurants of its kind found On Green Lanes.Capital is all about meat. Similar to the popular Kervan not too far away.I ordered a large mix Grill, it came with the standard, chicken wings, kofta, etcI found the quality of the red meat a bit poor. What I like with Turkish restaurants is the nicely grilled meat, the plenty of starters and the good service. This restaurant is ticking the first two boxes, as I wasn’t always happy with the service. The food is very good, nicely grilled, the starters and the salads are good. I didn’t try any seafood or any deserts but they look fine. Last, I appreciate the fact that this restaurant stays open till late.
