About
We are a friendly Proper Pub, situated in Whickham, we have a good quality menu, starting with an excellent breakfast up to 12 noon, then our main menu is available, our Rythem of the Week' has fantastic daily offers'. We have 3 sky boxes that cover all Sky & BT sports on many TV's including the big screen. We also have a pool table and dart board. Our General Knowledge Quiz is on Wednesday evenings with a picture round, cash prize and jackpot. We are child friendly with changing facilities, highchairs and children's menu. We are also wheelchair accessible with disabled facilities. All ages welcome, but children must be supervised, we also have a 'Challenge 25 policy' in place. Our range of drinks include fosters, Carling, Carlsberg, Stella, San Miguel, Peroni and Amstel, plus stout, ciders beers and a range of cask ales! Wine & Cocktail Menu's, bottle deals are also available. We are Cask Marque accredited too. Beer garden is situated at the back of the pub. Spent lots of time in here and always enjoy the drinks and I have had food here too and it’s been good. Often played the quiz and have enjoyed that also.
Come here whenever I visit my family and it’s always packed to the raftas. Great selection of spirits staff all friendly (although barman called me a murderer for having ice in my drambuie ?) . Will be back again on my next visit from York.
Visited here whilst staying at a nearby hotel. Great little find. Lovely inside, staff are very friendly and food is nice and great value for your money. Well worth a visit
