Went here on a Friday afternoon for some quick bites and coffee. I ordered eggs royale, which is muffins topped with salmon, egg benedicts, hollandaise sauce, and chives; alongside with a latt. The food was amazing, tasted pleasantly good. The latt also a great companion for the food. One more thing I love about this place is the ambience. Its nicely decorated. You cant just walk past the pastries at the front of the store without eyeing on them. Would love to come again for another afternoon bites.
Overpriced haunt. Cakes are nice, although the whole experience is just unfriendly and unwelcoming. It’s nice to be able to buy cakes on the way home, but neither ambiance or anything else merits staying in.
Amazing Place. Clean, Bright, Friendly. Excellent food and the best cappuccino, and the best espresso (for my friend) in the whole Finsbury park park area. If you pass by grab your cappuccino you will be amazed
Ima likes Bon Matin art shows. I like my morning coffee peaceful. I go to Bon Matin, Tollington Park N4 it is calm and nice. There’s some lovely art there, in the bright back room. ONce it was morocco I like morocco and ths drawings were very interesting and good.I had a good salad with my pie, which was tasty, if mostly leaves! Better than the one up Muswell Hill, cos it had a friendly staff and was more on my plate!THEN there was some paintings or prints I liked. Now they have a new shgow of jazz people, some I know: I love Bessie Smith. I wish their music could be heard! Will the artist have an open evening? I want to meet him, cos he really catches the feeling.
Great Brunch Spot. Had a fantastic brunch – vegetarian breakfast and the french toast. both amazing! the cakes and pastries look great too – will try them on my next visit. Oh, and really good value for money!
Tasty and tasteful. A group of 7 of us went for brunch last weekend and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The place is really tastefully decorated with a large cake-display area at the front (a la Ottolenghi) and large sturdy wooden tables in a sun-trapped glass-ceilinged room at the back. We tried much of the menu including a rataouille crepe, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and the french toast. We also couldn’t resist ordering a few of the cakes: the highlight being the orange and chocolate cake. The food was well prepared and tasty although not quite as good as Lantana or the afore-mentioned Ottolenghi. However, for a friendly neighbourhood spot, with nice service and a laid-back feel, BBM would be hard to beat.
