Since discovering Petek 2 weeks ago, we have been twice. We were skeptical of this restaurant, only because we weren’t sure if this was going to be another didn’t-meet-the-standard-hyped-up-London-restaurant. The first time we went, was for dinner and although we were the second table to be sat for dinner, the restaurant filled up in 30 mins and had a queue out the door. For starters you get served complimentary olives and warm bread which goes down so well with the sauces they serve. We also ordered their hummus which is exceptional, especially with the added pomegranate. For mains we opted for the lamb shish kofte and the Petek Special. Oh – my – goodness. What a flavour explosion! The meat is so succulent and juicy; well seasoned and the accompanying rice is fluffy and fragrant. Both dishes were exceptional and be warned – the serves are big! Also can’t fault the complimentary Turkish delight that they give you when you pay the bill. I would definitely return as many times as my wallet will allow because this is my new favourite local.
