Met friends here for lunch who live locally and really like it. The interior is pleasant and welcoming and is dogfriendly which is great. The starters menu is somewhat limited for Sunday lunch, the roast menu has wider choice with one vegetarian dish, a chicken to share, beef, pork belly and stuffed saddle of rabbit. I opted for the latter, unfortunately it was stuffed with only the offal, straight up and quite raw (the heart was bloody!). I don’t eat offal especially raw so left the entire stuffing on the plate. The meat itself was ok, not dry and flavoured by the ham that wrapped the roast but in places, undercooked for my taste, which is a shame. The Yorkshire pudding was very good and very fluffy, and the white cabbage with seeds that came with it delicious. My friends’ beef and pork belly looked good. We shared a tarte tatin, which had a good flavour but the apples were quite thick cut, and an incredible nuts chocolate brownie, I’d go back just for the brownie! pastabites.co.uk
