Moro’s main course was fantastic but the desserts were average. For 22, I got chicken on a bed of spinach with caramelised apples and Iberian sausage. It was flavourful and filling. The dessert was a little disappointing. I got the yoghurt cake which was too heavy on the citrus and seemed to have too many elements that didn’t gel together. My friend got the cardamom ice cream which was nice but not worth 7 pounds (Dishoom does better cardamom and rose water ice cream). Overall: nice for a special occasion but skip the dessert to save yourself the extra 10 pounds! And the setting – wonderful location since it is in exmouth market. The decor is nice but not memorable.

Lovely spot in exmouth market. I have the cookbook but have never tried to create one of their dishes. Having eaten there, I just might. Interesting combinations of flavours and ingredients and one of those restaurants where you will definitely eat something you wouldn’t be able to replicate at home. Could be a good test.

Always fully booked if you try to book on the day like I do, but once I had group of 10 and stil tried to get a table. the lovely manager got me a table on that evening, got my number and called me. so we managed to have a nice beer at the pub around the corner before the dinner. the food is good, especially if you like Moroccan food like I do. the food taste like Spanish meets north African guess that’s southern Spanish cuisine is about? my highlight there was the rose & cardamom ice cream which I believe the best flavour I ever had in ice cream and a good big portion too : ) big smile .

One of the best choices along exmouth!. Although I haven’t officially visited Moro yet, I have tried their stall at Exmouth market which is consistently popular every time I go. for 4.50 pounds, I got a large helping of spiced pulled lamb (which was amazing as the seasoning permeates your senses in every single bite taken whilst the lamb melts in your mouth) served with freshly made flatbread, vegetables and a dallop of yogurt to balance the flavours. It truly was one of the best street food meals that I have had and I would definitely go back again since it is such a bargain for lunch!

Glass in the food.. I ate here with 3 friends a while ago, can’t remember the food but will never forget the indifferent reaction to my pal’s discovery of a sharp piece of GLASS in his paella(?) We held back expecting the waitress/manager to offer something. Absolutely no response. They even tried to charge for the paella! If I’d found glass in MY food the whole table would have been upturned and other diners and passers-by loudly informed of the fact. Would never go again. Cannot un-recommend highly enough.

Need dinner here too. Had a lunch meeting here. Great food and the menu looks like one that will take multiple visits to get through. I’m ready to try doing that 🙂 All of the food at our table was fantastic with great flavors. Note for the vegetarians the vegetable plate was huge with multiple items on it.

Lunch at Moro. The atmosphere was buzzing and nice to see for Saturday afternoon. Food was good. We had grilled sea bass, veg and patatoes. It was amazing. The fish was very fresh. I love the flavour of the fish and capers and the grilled cabbage too. It may not sound nice but I loved the cabbage. Not my usual choice of veg but it was yummy. We did feel the tables were a little to closed to one another. Not good if you are closterphobic like we do…Staff were friendly and welcoming!
