Most of the reviews seem to focus on lunch. Instead, I am focusing on what I consider it to be, a great boulangerie and patisserie in London. The first thing that comes to mind is that it is one of the few bakeries/boulangeries that is open at a time when, in my opinion, any bakery ought to be open, 06:30, 07:00 at the latest, even during the weekend. In terms of food, the canele wasn’t very good, but the pain aux raisin was a lot better, and I can also recommend the Tarte aux pommes. The bread is also up there as far as bread in London goes. If you want a place that feels and opens at the time as most boulangeries around France do, then this is your place. If you want to go to the latest hipster bakery (and many do great cakes and breads; to be fair, some are also open early during the week) there are other options that open later as well.

What: CafeWhere: Farringdon, LondonValue: 6ppFood Review: With a wide range of pies, cakes and hot drinks on offer, this makes it a ideal cafe for breakfast, lunch and tea-time. I set out for lunch, with obvious queues (although queues mean it is a good place to try out?? ), and ordered a veggie pie with 2 salads for a resonable price. The pie was warm and tasty and the salads were equally good. Settings Review: Set of exmouth market alongside quirky little restaurants. The cafe albeit a little small is cute and cosy, just maybe not ideal at lunch time. Positives: wide range of choice for breakfast, lunch, teatimeNegatives: long queue at lunchtime, 3 Word Review: scrumptious lunch filler sobernstarving.com
