It was a friday evening, and my companion and I wanted to check out a couple of pubs before heading for dinner. This happened to be our first stop, and we walked into a joyously noisy establishment, and managed to find a table in a relatively quiet corner. We seated ourselves with pints of London pale ale, and examined our surroundings. The place was filled with a youngish crowd of wild guys and gals jovially delivering their speil to impress the opposite sex. It was a happening place; each table surrounded by people involved in unfolding their own unique drama. A brilliant setting for a Friday evening! The menu looked interesting with a good variety of food on offer, but we were just passing through and contented ourselves with just studying the menu. After we finished our drinks, we left this menagerie of youngsters and moved on to our next stop.
Perfect for a working pub lunch. The menu is classical British, serving the likes of rabbit, pheasant and wild boar, but everything is done up with a modern twist, so very good food. I went for the steak which was okay nothing to write home about. The decor is old and wooden so a welcomed break from the toil of the office. There are a couple of benches outside for when the sun is shining but come summer you will probably have to do with standing. londoncurryblog.com
Love this play! It’s the fantasy ‘local’ you wish you had on the corner of your street. Fantastic food, nice feel, lovely staff. Home made pies, fabulous steak, The BEST Sunday roasts til 9.30pm! There’s ways at least 3 things you can’t chose between on the menu. Thank you The Easton!
Simple, unfussy, and delicious. I have lunched here many times. The food is decently pricey, and always yummy. Sometimes when it’s crowded, service is slow, but always friendly. Good selection of beers too!
