I left my scarf behind after a night here last weekend. I called the next morning to check with lost property and a man very politely told me that he had it and that I could come and collect it any time. I explained to him that I won’t be in London for another week to which he said he will keep it safe for me.Unfortunately when I did go back a lady (who turned out to be the manager) looked very stressed when I asked about the scarf and was incredibly reluctant to help me. She went walking in and out of the office pretending to look for something and was incredibly confrontational the whole time. She only brought out two bin bags full of lost property after I asked her politely 3 times if it hadn’t possibly been left elsewhere as i specifically called in about it. All of a sudden she asks me if I am insinuating that she took the scarf!! Weirdly enough my friends scarf which she lost on the same night was in the bin bag but not mine. My scarf was Ralph Lauren. A staff member had obviously decided to keep it for themselves. I am absolutely appalled, not only because my scarf was stolen but also because of the manager attitude. I have never met anyone so rude in my life! It’s a Shame that there is no way for me to speak to someone more senior than the idiotic person they call manager at this place.
