Decent lunchtime bimbambop at a reasonable price ~9. Had the traditional Korean soup, which the usual broth with some meat chunks and veg. Fine nothing amazing but not bad at the price Bimbambop was better than average, filling, hot, spicy enough, plenty of flavour. Inside nice decor and the like. I’d be suspicious of ordering wine by the glass though. Looks like bottles stay until they are finished Would go again 17 Korean soup, lunch bimbambop, coke and service
If you have been to Korea this will be a very definite let down. Specially if you are unfortunate enough to get a table in the poorly ventilated basement. The food quality is very mediocre, portions so small that you will cringe when the bill comes, it is extremely expensive for what it is, which is nothing more than a pretend ‘Korean bbq’ experience that is not even posh enough to justify the cost. Much better options all over the town, keep away from this one.
Koba offers a variety of Korean Barbecue delights. The lunch time menu is affordable and includes all the usual accompaniment you’d expect. Everything is prepared fresh which is great but means service at midday isn’t the quickest. I had the lunchtime beef barbecue which came with a small bibimbap (hot bowl rice and veg). The thing slithers of beef were delicious – they cooked in minutes. I wasn’t a fan of the lighting in the restaurant as it was a little dark/dull. Although the food was good, I preferred the overall atmosphere and experience at SuperStarBBQ. emmarosetully.com
Came here on lunchtime with a friend. The staff were pleasent and helpful. I ordered the pan-fried meat dumplings, spicy chicken & vegetables bibimbap with a side of kimchi. The food was excellent, fresh and full of flavour; sadly I couldn’t find pics to post it on here. A must go place but be prepared to book in advance for an evening meal!
Really nice authentic Korean bbq in London. They cook the raw marinated meat in front of you. Not a lot of korean restaurants in London do that, but I like this is the best way.I have only been here once but will recommend you go here for the Korean barbeque. The other dishes like jap chae, is only okay, you can find better elsewhere. The korean fried chicken is also only just okay. But the dish portions is big and the price is reasonable. The bimbimbap is good too.For drinks, order Ginseng tea of course!
