A slice of Italy in London. This place is just heaven for the cheese lovers and makes me crave more and more ! One of my fav Italian places where you can enjoy a very chilled lunch/dinner in a cozy atmosphere in Central London.
We had an excellent meal at Obica. The service was professional and attentive and the room had a nice, cozy feel about it, particularly pleasant on a cold, rainy evening. We had the La gran degustazione, which is a tasting menu with classic mozzarella or smoked mozzarella served with burrata, which is fantastic, a selection of cured meats, Sicilian caponata and basil and sun-dried tomato pestos. We added an additional small plate of caponata & grilled artichokes. We did later have another order of the burrata with truffle oil. It was more than enough for 3 people. It was a very pleasant evening.
It’s not that special but unfortunately burrata is not so common yet in London to find it in many places and Obama is one of the rare places where they serve it. The boards are good but a little bit overpriced.
