We went for the chocolate high tea, accompanied by champagne, and were not disappointed. Duck egg brioche sandwich was a standout, and the special edition chocolate desserts were miniature works of art that tasted even better than they looked. Excellent attentive service, making it well worth the high price.
Easter afternoon tea experience at the Palm Court of The Langham -A glass of Laurent Perrier Brut Champagne upon arrival; then served a sweet amuse bouche with rhubarb compote. I enjoyed a selection of finger sandwiches:Cucumber, cream cheese and chives | Smoked salmon and asparagus on a rye cracker | Peppered beef pastrami and a Red Leicester coleslaw | Corn fed chicken with sultanas on carrot bread | Truffled duck egg brioche (my favourite)I really enjoyed their innovative hot cross scones!!!! Cinnamon and raisin hot cross scones! The Easter themed pastries were soooo cute; pastry chef Cherish Finden is super talented; this is her inspiration:The bunnies are very excited to race to get the apple and so they hop across the first obstacle (which is the mango and passion fruit jelly with white choc mousse cake) with the hula hoop to get to the 2 white hollowed chocolate eggs with a cute sunny side up floating on the top. Then they race to the tanginess of the lemon shortbread (to cleanse our palette) and to the apple marshmellow foam with lemon chocolate mousse tower before jumping on to the see-saw on a 64% chocolate mousseine with raspberry and pistachio financier.I was invited to sample their Easter afternoon tea; for all you selfie lovers and instagrammers you will love this.Limited time only from 21st 28th March, priced at 48pp and 59pp incl a glass of N.V Laurent-Perrier Brut Champagne and seatings at 1pm, 3.15pm and 5.30pm. redvelvetlondon.com
