The Blue Posts is the bigger brother of the Samuel Smith pubs I have been to, with a large bar on both the upper and lower floors. Again, for those unfamiliar with my affection towards Samuel Smith, you will receive an excellently priced range of beers, ciders and ales uniquely brewed for this chain. The decoration is all wood panelling and leather sofas and there is plenty of space for you to nestle into and retain a comfortable anonymity. Also a great place for groups to meet. The food is adequate but nothing special, and you may have to wait slightly longer than expected when ordering, but this might not always be the case. The place also has a pretty cool (I’m a nerd) view over a huge depot for the royal mail and their fleets of red delivery vans.
