  Having recently moved from Stoke Newington to Waltham Forest, we thought we’d try this local Turkish takeaway buoyed by the authentic menu. Unfortunately, this was the worst Turkish food I’ve experienced since moving to London. We opted to order a Lahmacun (rolled Turkish pizza) to share as starter and on arrival it was that thick with grease my Wife disregarded her share after one bite. The worst, however, arrived in our order of two large mixed shish kebabs. Each kebab was priced higher than my old haunt in Stoke Newington so expectation was high. However, despite the fact Nur have a clay bread oven, ours came in slightly warmed, shop bought pitta bread. The salad was fresh and the chicken seasoned, as you would expect. The lamb though was tough as old boots and despite asking for ‘plenty’ of chilli sauce, my portion received half a small ladle and was difficult to taste in the meal. This was early Sunday evening and the shop was empty so no excuses, especially as I had waited twenty minutes for my order. Really poor, only consolation was that the kebabs were somewhat edible. Will not be back.

  Great tasting kebab, plus a wide variety menu. Would recommend eating in as you get salad and Turkish bread as well as a choice of rice or chips.

  Good value food. Lovely salad and bread while you wait for your main meal.
