With 4 locations dotted around London (in Ealing, Dulwich, Penge and my local Sydenham), Blue Mountain cafe is setting itself up as the locals mini-chain and ably plugs the gap that a Costa or Nero hasn’t yet spoiled. In fact, around the Sydenham area, there are few other places I’d got for a spot of breakie and a decent drop of coffee; especially when it ends up at around a fiver. Absolute bargain in today’s London. Each visit usually results in an order of a hearty full English breakfast accompanied by a cup of coffee and me leaving a satisfied customer. The food is by no means gourmet but it is very homely and comforting making for a great start to any day. If you find yourself in one of the 4 areas Blue Mountain operates, have confidence is stepping in – chances are it’s the best cafe you’ll find in the area or at least the best value.
