  Walked in on a Tuesday night and were lucky to get a table as it was quite busy. We ordered a variety of seafood and vegetarian dishes, and the choice was pretty broad – the food was good, although not spectacular as some other reviews suggest. The service is lightening quick without being overbearing, although one of hostesses grunted a lot! Overall a bit of a hidden gem and we will certainly be visiting again.

  Superb. Xian is an oasis in Orpington’s mediocre restaurant scene. Since moving here 2 years ago it has become our absolute favourite local place to eat. The food never disappoints, and we are always trying new things, so we have sampled quite a bit of the excellent menu. It’s always buzzing, so a great Friday-night atmosphere all week. Great for couples and groups alike, and we often see families with children and grandparents dining together. Booking essential for later in the week and weekends, but you can get lucky walking in off the street on occasion. You can keep your bill very reasonable here or indulge in a total blowout. Excellent service, and a very sociable front of house.

  A bit pricey but well worth it. Excellent food. One of Gary Rhodes’ favourite restaurants (have seen him in there a few times)!!
