Interesting concept but not authentic… The name… The food… All there but not there. Spinach paneer was more paneer Masala with some sponach thrown in. Thali was far from what a thali should be. Bit disappointed… But food is ok. Decor and showmanahip high and good… With a bit more authentic dishes and flavour it could be a sensation it claims to be

Your craving for good Indian food is about to end 🙂 The place is one of the best places in Newcastle for Bombay style food – They do insanely good food and everything from the drinks to starters to the main course is awesome. Dabbawal is a must visit restaurant guys. Love their vada pav and samosa chat – must try.
Had been to this place with my friends ambience is ok.Being away from India we were craving for some good Indian food. But the portion served were very small compared to the price and not so great on the palate either. service really slow overall we had a disappointing eve.
Was here with 3 other mates and though I must say the food is good and quite authentic indian. Good ambience with some deep thoughts on the interior design of the place. The terrible dampeners are the TERRIBLE SERVICE and terribly small serving sizes. The managers body language is almost like he’s chasing you off. Do try the bombay lemonade.
Ate here for a friend’s birthday. Service was incredibly slow, to the point that we almost left. There was 14 of us, but slow service was never advised when we booked. Also, I ordered a Korma and it was spicy, which a Korma definitely should not be. Had better food and couldn’t have had slower service. Also, brought us some ‘free poppadoms’ due to the wait and tried to charge us for the pickle trays that THEY brought to accompany them. Wasn’t worth the hassle but may be better if in a smaller group
