About
Benty Farm Tearooms is a small farmstead in an isolated position on Thurstaston Common, with an unusual setting of the gently rolling landscape of the Wirral. Since opening on the 3rd December 2014, the tearoom has become a firm favourite with locals and regular customers. It is a magnet for morning coffee, ladies that lunch, friends, family, walkers, tourists and after-school treats. Here at Benty Farm Tearooms, we offer a wide range of locally sourced seasonal food & refreshments in a location that overlooks the farmhouse and an area of natural beauty. Everything is homemade and freshly prepared to order using as much quality local produce from around the Wirral as possible. We have a wide range of homemade cakes and freshly-baked fruit scones which are all made in-house by Charlotte. In August 2016, our 'Butternut Squash & Orange Cake' even won a Great Taste Award, an event organised by the Guild of Fine Food, a acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink. Breakfast is served from 9:00am 11:30pm daily. Our lunchtime menu is served from 11:30am until 4:00pm (11:30am - 2:00pm on Sundays). Cream Teas & Homemade Cake is served all day. Another great visit with the family, whilst a little chilly a great relief to go in the warm and have a nice brew and snacks. I would recommend the lemon drizzle cake or caramel cookie.
We visited late on a Saturday afternoon so understandably there were few cakes left. We had coffee, which was very good, and scones with jam and cream: they were excellent.
I absolutely love it here! Winter or summer the atmosphere is great and you certainly won’t get a better cup of hot chocolate& scone anywhere else! The girls are super friendly. The location is fabulous. Such a welcoming environment.
