An average breakfast of scrambled eggs, frittata and toast. Considering how staid the menu and our options were, nothing significant to note. It was a bright but lazy Sunday morning and we were the first ones there, so service was a breeze.

The interiors of the Chalet Cafe stay true to its name. With the word chalet conjuring up images of picturesque chalets in the Swiss snow, it seemed apt that I make a visit to this cafe when London saw its only proper snowfall of the season. And even in the snow, the interiors gave out a sense of warmth with carved wooden tables and chairs, thick wood stumps, a few big potted bushes and a comfortable sofa. The food was a little sub par however. I had ordered a chicken sheesh tauk with carrot rice and salad. The chicken was a little too rubbery and without much flavor while the rice, probably to make up for it was a bit soggy. They do serve some wraps and sandwiches which in hindsight might have been a better choice. No complaints about the capuccino though. couchcibo.wordpress.com
