The restaurant has an intimate feel with white cloth tables laid for two. The diners seemed to be all couples out on a Saturday night. The staff were very friendly and extremely polite. The food did not live up to expectations however. I had the scallop starter and the sea bream with sweet potato and greens. The first dish lacked seasoning altogether. The second dish came out with the fish swimming in a puddle of hot oil. The sweet potato lacked seasoning and was far too large a portion for one. I enjoyed the spinach and green beans with caramelised red onions. The fish was enjoyable after removing it from the oil and adding a touch of salt and pepper. The desserts seemed to be the thing to order here. Perhaps I will give it another try some day.

A deservedly popular restaurant at the heart of Hampstead. A short consistently tasty menu, particularly good on fish. Good two-course price (17.95) on our last visit (October 2009). Wine extra, of course. Warm and inviting atmosphere.
