Great family get together. Lovely family run restaurant. Very hospitable, friendly staff. Classic Greek food. We went with another family in what turned out to be a rather boisterous event with 7 children at a table. The staff remained cheerful, showing the children roasting lamb on the bone. The slightly cramped quarters really give it a homely feel. Food is classic straight-down-the-line in style but very fresh, well cooked and tasty. An absolute gem of a local restaurant, even worth coming from further afield for a great night out.
Great evening out. My family and friends have celebrated many happy events at Retsina & Moussaka..The friendliness of Maria and Angelo bring a sense of occasion to high days and holidays. The food is always to their own high standard, tasty and freshly cooked – Angelo can be seen producing wonders behind the counter at the front of the shop, but always has time to say hello. Worth returning time and time again. Waistline watchers beware the huge portions!

Best things come to those that wait.. This is a tiny, family run Greek restaurant. You can wait up to an hour for your food, and they get a rush at 20:30, so call in advance to book for a bit earlier or later. Just be prepared to be waiting for the food to arrive, but as long as you chill out and have plenty of drink and starters, it’s a nice place to sit (if a little cramped). We had the seafood mezedes for two (17 each). We couldn’t believe our luck, as the portions were huge value. We got pitta, taramasalata, hummous, stuffed vine leaves, a seafood mash ‘thing’ and a chicken mash ‘thing’. Then we got a Greek salad. Then a generous plate of calamari arrived. THEN we had 4 large prawns with garlic…THEN a large grilled seabass to share arrived. We were pretty much stuffed and then two swordfish steaks arrived! All was very tasty, beatifully cooked and really good value for money. Just be careful not to order Greek salad if your main already comes with salad. The only real negative we found was that because the place is so small, you can be subjected to the conversations next to you, which was a shame if you go in and end up sat near the same group of snooty middle aged idiots that were in last weekend.
Huge portions. Fantastic Messe to start, mains not quite as good. Authentic Greek-Cyprus feel to the dcor
