I’m not normally a lucky person, and I have been going to Alan’s fish bar for years, with perfectly cooked fish and chips served each time. I’m a bit dubious about the negative reviews; doesn’t seem probable.
I’ve had my fair share of fish and chip dinners from various establishments. I have never a bad meal from Alan’s fish bar.I would recommend.
I disagree with the reviews panning the local chippie. I always order and ask for large fish . It means that it doesn’t dry out and we ve found it tasty and good size portion . Chips not great but when are they?
Fish was cold and greasy. Sausages were almost inedible. If this place had any competition then they would surely go out of business. They won’t be getting mine again.
