love to find small local quirky places run by locals, simple with great home baking, perfect for a mid walk stop off and some stunning photography works- gorgeous damson jam made locally!
Quirky local brew stop. Cycle friendly in a tranquil setting. Slightly off the usual through routes. Great Bacon bap, or top bite is the stuffed monkey (no there is no monkey in it). (Not far from Grizedale, even closer to Tarn Hows).
Really nice cafe with really high quality food and local ingredients. They had excellent sandwiches, salads, and good coffee. Nice outdoor seating area as well.
This is a great spot for refreshments if you’re visiting Tarn Hows or biking/hiking past. Lovely food, good coffee and great service whilst sitting in the sun. What more could you want?
