Vegan Friendly. We ordered a takeaway from Sabir Tandoori this evening having asked them if they could make our veggie choices vegan. They were more than knowledgeable, helpful and honest about what they could and couldn’t offer us as vegans. When the food came OMG it was absolutely bloody amazing. We had 5 dishes (and one fish and naan for the non veggie person) and a roti and each had it’s own very distinct tasty flavour and all of them were really fresh and generously sized. It came to 18!! Absolutely gem of a restaurant which we’ll eat at time and time again… I’m so full but just want to go back for more
This restaurant has a very good reputation for take-away food, but there are no reviews about what its like to eat in. We asked for a quote for a lunch party of 11 and were offered an amazingly good deal. The price per head would include papadoms and dips, a starter, a main and a side dish, rice or naan and tea or coffee. All choices, with no restrictions, were to be made individually from the main restaurant menu, so no big containers of buffet-style food. It sounded too good to be true, but it wasnt! When we arrived promptly at 12 as arranged, our table was ready for us. We ordered drinks and nibbled papadoms until our starters came all freshly prepared and delicious. The large portions kept us going nicely until the main courses arrived, served on warm plates, with no errors among the considerable variety of dishes ordered. Everything was delicious, and the service was impeccable. As we had the restaurant to ourselves, I cant comment on ambience. However, although none of us had eaten there before, for those of us who live locally, this will be high on our list of great places to eat.
